General Description
The Tea Tree is native to Southeastern Australia. Tea Tree Oil, or Oil of Melaleuca is a concentrated essence from the leaf of the tree, Melaleuca Alternifoli. The Tree is extremely fast-growing and constantly renewable, ensuring that no trees are harmed or destroyed. Tea tree is a general name for members of the Melaleuca family and has won a reputation as a " cure all" because of its powerful antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties and only recently has it been proven scientifically that the oil really possesses an outstanding germ killing effect and high penetration power.

How It's Made
The oil comes by steam or water distillation of the leaves.

Aroma: Fresh, nutty scent.
